SANTA CLAUS, IN -- Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari officials expect to handle a record number of job applications as Job Fairs are held to fill more than 2,100 seasonal positions.

“Starting this year, applying for a seasonal job is a two-step process,” says the parks’ Director of Human Resources, Brandon Berg. “The first step is to submit an online application via our website and the second step is to attend one of our Job Fairs.”

Job seekers may arrive at Holiday World any time during the Job Fairs, which will feature representatives from the park’s various departments, including Admissions, Food & Beverage, Lifeguards, Rides, Games, Sweepers, Merchandise, and more. Applicants may speak with multiple department representatives and then apply to work for one or more departments.

Job interviews will be conducted at that time. The Job Fairs will be held:
Saturday, February 6, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm CST (slow time)
     Sunday, February 7, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm CST
     Thursday, February 11, 2:00 - 5:00 pm CST
     Saturday, February 13, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon CST

First-year employees will earn a base rate of $7.25 to $8.15 an hour. Benefits include: a personal Season Pass plus one-day tickets, park food and merchandise discounts, free soft drinks, employee parties, weekly incentive programs, free admission to other parks, and more.

This season, the park will again offer an Employee Transportation Program for seasonal employees who would not otherwise have a ride to work. Available at a nominal fee, bus rides will be offered in Warrick, Vanderburgh and Perry Counties in Indiana, plus Kentucky’s Hancock and Daviess Counties.

Applicants should fill out an online application and then attend one of the four Job Fairs. Parking is available in the main guest parking lot. The online application is available at www.HolidayWorld.com/Jobs. Job applicants should bring their Social Security Number to the Job Fair.

Most positions are available to applicants 16 years and older by May 2010. Additional jobs require a minimum age of 14 years by May. Applicants must be at least 14 years old on the date the online application is submitted. Retirees and other adults seeking seasonal employment are also encouraged to apply.
